Rocky Mountain Christmas

 Autumn has answered the Summer

Winter replies to the Fall

All of the seasons are singing of life and the Love that is here for us all

Bringing the promise of beauty

Found in the silence of snow

Washing the earth with a blanket of white

That will melt into rivers that flow

CHORUS:            It’s a Rocky Mountain Christmas, Colorado skies

High above the timberline the mountains rise

Angels in the alpine, shepherds in snow bringing

Glory to God in the highest on high,

And peace to the Earth here below

Chimney smoke rising from cabins

Frost on the windows that glow

Visible breath of the Big Horn that pass on the trail by the river below

Families are gathered for dinner

Laughter and songs by the fire

Sleepyheads yawn, awaiting the dawn of a bright morning filled with desire

CHORUS

BRIDGE/SOLO

Snowfall from Vail to Aspen

From Breckenridge to Estes Park

Covers this place with a soft, gentle grace of rebirth that awakens the heart

This is a place like no other

Canyons and rivers of joy

Vast open skies that sing their reprise

Of the birth of the heavenly Boy
